A Bit About Me
My approach uses:
-
The Gottman Method, with completion of Levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as specialized training in Couples and Addiction Recovery, Treating Affairs and Trauma, and The Seven Principles.
-
I am trained in Mentalization‑Based Therapy through the Anna Freud Centre in London, UK,
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy through training with Dr. Steven C. Hayes and colleagues,
-
Reflective Functioning through training with Howard Steele, PhD.
I also incorporate Narrative Therapy into my clinical work. I am a Certified Trauma Therapist, Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist, EMDR Level II, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist.
I am best suited to treat individuals and couples presenting with relational distress, including chronic conflict, emotional disengagement, attachment insecurity, and maladaptive interactional patterns. I work with couples affected by infidelity, betrayal trauma, and the relational impact of addiction and recovery.
I also treat individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and trauma‑related symptoms. My work frequently addresses difficulties with affect regulation, mentalization, shame, identity disturbance, and impaired reflective functioning, particularly when these challenges interfere with relationships.
